Hilo Town

We spent a little bit of time in Hilo after visiting with Grandma. Here I am in the Japanese Gardens.
We also went to Rainbow Falls. I remember from our last trip, there is a nice nature trail, but we'll do that again when Milo is older. Lyman Sr. explained that during the more rainy times, the water falling over the waterfall covers the entire width of the rock ledge. That's a lot of water!

Hello Grandma

We made the two hour drive across the Big Island on Monday to meet Grandma Elizabeth in Hilo. As you can see, she and Milo got on very well! Milo slept the whole two hours on the way there, but not a peep on the way home. As a result, he was in a super mood when we got there, and he was so tired when we got home, he slept through most of dinner at Outback where Auntie Leese works. Everyone got to eat warm food! Then he came home and slept from 9:00 pm to 6:00 am. What a super baby!

Family

Milo and his Grandpa, Auntie Nicole and Daddy

Linda, Auntie Nicole and Mommy out at an incredible oceanside resturant Huggo's. As Lyman says on his TV show, "If we were any closer to the water, our feet would be wet."

Milo just loves his Grandpa. I say he's a sedative; whenever Milo fusses, Grandpa can calm him to happiness or sleep. At dinner, he let his food go cold and missed out on most of dessert to make Milo happy. It's been a while since both Lyman and I ate our dinner warm from the kitchen. Maybe we'll have to bring Grandpa home with us!

Milo's Favorite Toy

Milo just loves his nummy. He puts it in and out of his mouth all day long. Sometimes is upside down or backwards, but he doesn't mind.

At the Beach

Auntie Nicole, pictured above, and Auntie Leesa joined us on our third day. They took us to one of their favorite beaches. Milo found the beach very soothing; he slept most of the time we were there.

Look at all this gear!

Here's some of our group enjoying the beautiful water. Sadly, poor Auntie Leesa later stubbed her toe rather badly and lost a toe nail and possibly fractured the toe. She's feeling better, but we were all sorry she got hurt. Ouch!

He's done it again!

Seven years ago, Lyman's dad treated us to an amazing Hawaiian honeymoon. We went on a helecopter ride, snorkle cruise, slept in the honeymoon suite of the amazing Hilton resort and ate an some incredible restaurants to name some highlights. This time, our host has rolled out the baby red carpet accomodations. They rented out the neighbor's home, just yards from their own, for us to stay. It's an amazing 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom home with this ocean view out the back door.
Here's the "backyard" which is all tiled. What you don't see is the swimming pool/spa. That big stone lion is just one of the many interesting decorations around the house.

Here's our view each night at sunset. Do we have to go home?

The Third Leg

Here's me and Milo on our third plane ride in five months. Thankfully, he is the best traveler! Many people on the plane complemented us on our sweet, quiet baby.

Lyman's dad, Lyman is a great host. He took us into Kailua (Kona side of the Big Island) for some shopping, eating and walking.

Milo has had these toys (thanks cousin Kathy) hangling in his face for months, but this week he seems to have "seen" them for the first time.

5 Months

Milo turns 5 months this week. Unbelievable. I know I have been behind on my blog posts, so here a slew of pictures to show you what's been keeping us busy.

Squeaky Clean

Oh, these cheeks!

I got this towel for Milo a month ago when he outgrew his little newborn towels. He loves to be wrapped up in this one.

Duck Tub

Milo loves his inflatable duck. As you can see he fits better in this tub and the soft sides are nice for the little wiggle-worm.

Baby Einstein

Milo watched Baby Einstein the other day for a record 15 minutes. It was a long afternoon at home and we were trying them out again.

Cute As Can Be

That's what this outfit says; I quite agree.

At the Pool

We all had a good time at the pool which is the perfect place to spend a hot evening. Milo is sporting his new trunks- so cute!
