At the Zoo

We spent a cool Saturday at the zoo with our favorite little girls, some of my favorite big girls and a super helpful teenager. Milo was in and out of his seat all day, while sweet Sophie happily strolled along. Happily until, hey Milo that's not nice!

More at the zoo...

In the gorilla exhibit, there was this monster gorilla who charged at the "glass" wall making this huge thump. We all jumped, and we were 15 people back in the crowd; all we saw was his King Kong hand slap the glass. Many of the kids up front screamed and little ones cried. No way would I ever want to be on safari and come face to face with one of those on their own turf.
Here's Milo with his buddy Liam (who is the son of one of by best teacher friends). I hear Liam is a regular visitor to this blog- thanks Liam for being such a good friend and helper!

Romper Room

Yeah, this picture of Milo is on twice. It took me hours (on and off while chasing the pictured) to figure out how to post at all. After months of not being able to get on line easily while Daddy is out, Milo finally made it impossible. I was trying to check my e-mail one day, and he was faster than me and pulled or pushed something -zap our home computer is fried. It won't even turn on. L would have been angry if he used it for more than printing off boarding passes, and I would have been angry if I liked it at all, but I have been dissatisfied for months. So, then we had another round of fighting about out technology preferences. L wants a new desktop, and I wanted just a lap top. For once, my school district saved the day with a good solution. They advertised i books if you wanted one. Yes please. Now L is researching desktops. Hold your horses. Let's see how long my school lets me keep this thing. I'm sure our marital squabbles are boring those of you who tune in for the cute kid. Isn't he cute? We were at the mall having lunch with our friends, then he needed more shoes, and we found the play area. He loved it.

When we first got there, he just stood in the middle and scoped the place and all there was to do. Then he just ran around like a crazy person screaming and squealing. The older kids were so nice, petting and hugging him, and the others his age were happy to copy him or let him copy their activity. He was really brave running off alone, but, as you can see, coming over to check in with mommy.

So, seriously, how do you delete a picture. I clicked on it and pressed delete, but nothing. Also, how do I make a picture my wallpaper on the desktop if I can't right click? I thought macs were supposed to be super easy. Why do I feel super stupid?

Old Friend

My friend Nathan, from England, was here this past weekend. This is him and me with his brother-in-law Tom. Lyman played tour guide on Sunday driving us around Hollywood and Beverly Hills (you know, my backyard). Then Monday evening I escaped and met up with the group at Universal for dinner. Nathan is exactly the same in personality, but very successful in his education career and home ownership. Now I am itching to go for a visit to his house.

This is Nathan's sister Anna with their friends Emma and Ian. Emma and Anna thought they were ordering light by getting a sampler plate and mixed salad. I guess they forgot where they were; it's hard to order light in the USA girls!
