Kelly and Mike Visit

I know it's been a long time since I posted; Lyman was out of town with our computer. His tour went by fairly quickly with the help of Kelly and Mike who came to visit in the middle and Auntie Nicole the very last night. It was great to have visits to look forward to while we were missing Lyman. On our own, Milo and I have a nice schedule we keep on weekends: Mommy's morning coffee/reading and Milo's cartoons followed by a play date, zoo/museum or errands. If Milo is a good helper, a prize. In the evening, there is walking Murphy, eating dinner, books, show and sleeping in Mommy's bed. On weekdays, scratch the coffee/reading.
I get a lot of, "I don't know how you do it!" That never gets old. I love hearing it.
A. It acknowledges that what I'm doing is kind of exhausting, stressful and challenging. But
B. It validates that, "Yes, I am doing it!" So, for those of you who support me in that way, thank you.
So, our time without Daddy passed with my relief at not being cut from my counseling department at work. Further relief the the virus that caused Milo to vomit all over my bed, himself and me one night lasted only 48 hours and no one had to take a sick day. And we had some really fun times with friends and family.
Kelly and Mike came on the rainiest week I can recall in LA. We were wet, cold and soggy all week, but that did not stop us from having a lot of fun. Friday we had a tamale feast then Saturday we went to the Natural History Museum. Last time, we saw the T Rex puppet show. This time, we saw the Saber tooth Cat.
The next day we went to the Skirball to see Noah's Ark.
Here were K and M cozily sitting with Milo. He hopped off, and moments later K and M came crashing to the floor when the swing broke. In the orientation, the guide said everything could be touched and if things broke it was ok. I know this was not what they had in mind considering many personnel same to check in with K and M to make sure they truly were not injured.
Now Lyman is back, but only for a minute and he's off again. Thankfully the tours to come are shorter. Moreover, spring break is not far away!
