Fall Fun Marathon

Last weekend, we started our fall fun marathon at a super fun pumpkin festival with my girlfriend W and her kids. Of course, he wanted Batman as face paint design.

 Look out beauty...
Oh no, not the blood suck!
 She escaped!
The firefighters were there to show their equipment.

At home, this Dracula needed a rest. What a relief to this furry friend, more on his costume later!

Trunk or Treat

Milo's school celebrated Halloween with Trunk or Treat on Friday night. The wind was WHIPPING across the lot where the cars were parked. The music was pumping, the hot chocolate was lumpy, the hot dog was juicy, the diet coke was chilled, the trunks were creative and there was more candy than a school full of children should ever eat. The children?  They were super cute and having a blast. Mommy?  She knew there was a chilled bottle of wine at home and a boy who would fall asleep before his head hit the pillow.

Dance Party

I LOVE this. I guess it's the Grease loving Performing Arts Magnet teacher in me that just loves when kids break out in song and dance.

Boo at the Zoo Part 1

Saturday morning, we went to the opening of Boo at the Zoo. Lyman scored us early admission tickets from a friend of his. There was a nice patch for photo opportunities and a fun puppet show too.

YMCA Fall Fun

Our Y was having a fall festival too!  We invited our buddies along to play, and we all enjoyed the jumper, games, crafts and shave ice.

We were worried that we would get sunburned in October it was so bright and warm, but the shave ice was so refreshing.

Boo at Zoo Part 2

As if the weekend wasn't busy enough, we went to the zoo with our neighbors the next day. Besides being what I would consider to be unseasonably warm, we had a lot of fun. They had never been there before, and it was nice to see our zoo from fresh eyes.
There were new baby goats who were sweet like puppies. It was a nice morning in a crazy weekend.

Living Room Remodel

Wow, our space felt huge when the furniture was gone.
But it still feels so much more spacious with the new sectional. I was happy not to have to rehang the photo gallery- maybe you all think it's time to revamp that too!  We all love the new seating- come over and try it out!

The Campaign

Me: Tonight is the first debate between President Obama and Mr. Romney. A debate has rules: no interrupting, keep to the time limit and no name calling.
Milo: Ok, you be President Obama and I'll be Mr. Romney.
Me being Obama: Everyone, I really like being president, so vote for me so I can keep doing it.
Milo being Romney:  But I never ever got a chance!
