Getaway

We were in Palm Springs for last weekend. Milo LOVES hotels; he cried when we told him in the car on the way home we were not going back. I know how he feels. It's so nice to have someone make your bed and not have to wipe anything. L had a very busy schedule, but Milo and I were at our leisure and thought it would be fun to visit the Living Desert Zoo. L made time to come too; it was his first zoo trip with us! We all had a good time for the 1 1/2 hours we were there. In March, it was already 83 degrees when we arrived. I don't know how that place stays open in the summer when it's 105! The giraffes were very happily situated; one of the best landscapes I have seen in the zoo (we have not been to the Wild animal Park, so I cannot compare). There was also this large train. Milo keeps reminding us, "The diesel one winned" the race we saw.

Hello Again!

If you are checking into my blog, thanks for your belief that I would blog again! Man, we have had a time this new year. Except for Milo's birthday party weekend, I don't think we have had one weekend in 2010 when one of us has not been sick! Flu, colds, ear infections, respiratory problems, inhalers, antibiotics, and tons of Tylenol later, I think we're going to survive. Now the time has changed, the days are sunny and warm, and I am praying no one else gets sick this spring and summer! In the midst of all of it, we have had a little fun. Above are Milo's cupcakes to celebrate with his friends at school.
Super dad found out about this free kid day at the MOCA downtown. There was an art piece made totally of chocolate, so there was an inspired craft were we could eat and draw with chocolate and other collage stuff.
After the art talk with the docent, we could visit the galleries on our own. Milo liked this one a lot. "But you don't touch!" he was told at first, and he reminded us in every gallery room in front of every piece of art and all the next week when we talked about it.

Out and About

At the start of what I thought was just an annoying cold, I had the energy to take Milo to Universal. I thought we would check out the theme park, but the line was too long and not moving. Milo didn't care. He had plenty of fun playing in the water popping fountain.

Last weekend, we were in San Diego for a night. Lyman and Milo had a nice walk by the ocean.
