Milo turned 7 months on the 26th. He's such a big boy; all his infant characteristics have melted away and left this strong, busy boy. He loves to get into everything, hold his own bottle, be tickled on his feet and by Daddy's beard. As you can see, he loves taking his bath.
He hasn't learned to get up on his knees to crawl, but it doesn't stop him from getting around. He's fast! The two bottom teeth are all the way in and no longer crooked. His smile is more cute now; I didn't think that was possible.
Our little Milo is quite an adventurer. He is all over the place! He doesn't quite crawl; it's more of a kick off scoot, but he gets where he wants to go- everywhere. He wants every cord, pair of shoes, piece of dog food, bag, dirty sock- you get the idea.

We have had some very welcome cool weather lately, and it has brought out some cute new things for Milo. There is nothing I love more than a baby in a hat, and from all the smiles we get when we're out, it seems I'm not alone.
Milo and I went to Santa Monica Saturday to celebrate my friend's daughter's 2nd birthday. Milo had a great time in the cool weather, playing with the other kids and riding in the swing like the big kids.
Can you see something new in this picture? Look closely at this happy smile, and you can spot 2 little teeth!
I went through Milo's dresser and closet this past week and found his small hats; this one was my favorite- thanks Greatest Aunt Carol! In the top picture, Milo is only three weeks old. We retired the little head support in his chair a few months back, and last week we had to install the bigger car seats because our little guy no longer fits in this infant seat.
I think I have always been a pretty modest person. I usually take a compliment reluctantly or at least graciously. That was before Milo. When people compliment me on my beautiful, happy son, I should modestly say thank you, but, instead, I gush in agreement. I feel so lucky to have this little guy with his amazing smile to match his cheerful disposition and this laugh that his Daddy calls the best sound in the world. He's the best one. Lucky me.
Lyman went to the superbowl just weeks before Milo was born, and now it's time to play again! When Milo was a newborn, I thought his jersey looked huge. I fiigured he could wear it in February for the superbowl again, but here we are in September, and it fits just fine. Don't my boys look happy? Milo didn't make it to halftime, but he was in the spirit. What do you think Grandpa Dave?
Sometimes Milo wants to hold his own bottle. What a big guy!
Milo started at day care this past week while I went to some professional development workshops and worked in my new office before school starts. I thought I had gotten all my anxiety and sadness out a few weeks before when the reality set in, and I was pretty blue. However, the night before I was reading him the book Guess How Much I Love You, and I couldn't get through the pages without crying. My sweet boy turned his head around and flashed me his winning smile and laugh. To be sure, the transition was harder for me. He loves day care! He loves Betty and playing with all the other kids. He smiles when I drop him off, and he's smiling when I pick him up. In fact, the three days he went to day care, I didn't hear him cry once in those days. When we got home in the afternoons, he was pooped. I could hardly get him though dinner, bath and a book without him tipping over with exhaustion. Needless to say, he slept soundly all night. I, selfishly, tried to keep him up to spend more time together, but it didn't work. Who can blame me; who wouldn't want to be with this sweet baby?
