Nathan!

My old friend Nathan from England came to visit. We met at University when I was studying abroad, and he has been here several times to visit since! I wish I had his travel budget, but I am so grateful he spends much of his to keep in touch with me!
It was kind of a whirlwind week. I was not able to take any time off work because A. work is a mad house right now and B. I don't have any time left after so much illness. We made the most of our evenings, and he braved the freeways, amtrack station and shuttle buses to get around on his own while I was working. These pictures are from the Madame T. Wax Museum in Hollywood. I don't know if this is a totally new "collection" but the location is shiny and new. Look who greeted us at the door!
Inside I had tea with an old friend...
Nathan chatted with his countryman... Milo wasn't too sure about all these people until...
he saw Spiderman! This is the only character he jumped out of his stroller to see. The museum is kind of pricey, and seems really cheesy, but it was super fun. I think the scale must be off a little because the stars are so petite. I know Jennifer Aniston is tiny, but I don't think she's that short. All the women, except Angelina and Nicole, were 6 inches or more shorter than me and skinnier than I think possible. But anything is possible in Hollywood, right?

Pinks

I took my friend Nathan to Pink's Hot dogs in Hollywood on a lovely warm evening. The line was so long- the evening turned cool, but Milo was a super sport waiting in the line. To amuse him, he played with my camera taking his first shots. The one of me is not awful, but the second needs a little help.

Easter!

Milo woke up to his basket with cars from Grandpa Dave, and a book and video from me. I hid his dozen eggs around the living room; he had m&ms for breakfast.
Later we went to our best friends' home for Easter dinner (yum!) and play. Jenny and I both made cakes. She tried a new frosting recipe, which was really tasty. More creamy than sticky sweet- like mine!

Here are the kids egg hunting over and over- Madeline looks like a model and so does Milo if it's an add for a child Samurai sword.
