Last weekend, we went to the birthday party of Milo's best buddy at school. It was tolerable. Lyman and I were both exhausted and hung over from the wedding we attended the night before. The wedding was a Great party- excellent food, drinks, dancing, atmosphere- very relaxing. The best thing about the birthday party were these adorable Super Mario themed cupcakes. The frosting was the best I ever ate- I didn't leave without the recipe! Yum.
Memorial Day we went to Adventure City in Buena Park to check out a new place. We thought traffic would be awful, but we breezed down and back in under an hour each way! It was super fun with great weather, affordable admission and rides just for kids Milo's age. The park is made for kids 2-10. He had a great time riding almost all the rides (the little roller coaster was too scary for him), building a serious track in the Thomas the Train area and playing most of the games in the arcade.
