Trick or treat! Give me something good to eat- like bananas, oatmeal or sweet potatoes! Thank you Emmett for sharing your costume.
Last weekend, we visted our friends Jennifer and Louis at their new home. We took advantage of their beautiful garden and Louis, who is a wonderful photographer. They are expecting their second son any day now, and he's going to sleep in Milo's old cradle. It makes me happy to think their will be another tiny baby snuggled in that bed.
Milo is 8 months old! At the doctor, he weighed just under 20 lbs, and he has 2 and a half teeth (the top one just broke the gums). He scoots all over the floor, dumps everything over, puts everything in his mouth, tries to pull up, chases Murphy, squeals in delight, blabs away... and steals my heart.
Boy, my blog posts have really slowed down since school started, right? Here are some highlights of what we have been up to. Pictured above are Sophie and Milo who spent one Sunday watching football with their Daddies while their Mommies escaped for a few hours. It looks like they had a great time.
Isn't it adorable how Milo is holding his Kiki Counting book? It's like he's doing a rewiew for Reading Rainbow.
Bathtime continues to be a favorite time of the day. He looks so relaxed and happy. Lyman had a super nasty cold, I had some sniffles and aches and Milo acted like he was getting ready to be really sick, but I think we have skirted it for now. I think we're all on the mend. Thank goodness.
Look at these adorable ghost PJ's for Halloween, but, you know, I could dress him in a burlap bag and no one would notice. All we hear is, "Look at those eyes!"
What a busy day we have had. Milo was up at 6:00 as usual, and we spent the morning doing laundry. Then we were off to breakfast with Larry and Patricia, friends Lyman has made on tour. We had a quick nap break and then we were off to celebrate Sophie's birthday. Non stop fun. Look at this hat! Jenny's sister Jessica made it for her little Emmet, but I had to steal it for a minute for a picture. So cute!
We had a great time celebrating Sophie's birthday today.
Here is the beautiful birthday girl. Cousin Emmet and Milo are very interested in all her new toys.
This is rare for me; I got a picture of Maddie smiling! I know you think she's beautiful, but she also has a wonderful imagination and is very clever.
Milo didn't care much about Sophie's presents, but he did love the gift wrap.
Milo and I finally had a chance to meet Patricia and Larry whom Lyman meet years ago on tour with Steve. They are such great fans; they travel around the country to see Steve and the band perform live. I know Patricia will see this picture since she is a regular visitor on Sunbaby. They are just another example of all the love flowing towards Milo from around the country. I hope we'll see them again!
Our Milo is feeling much better lately! He hasn't had a fever since Saturday night, and the diahrrea is less and less. We switched to a lactose-free formula and no more bananas; that seems to be helping a lot. His mood has definately improved, and we're happy he can go back to daycare. Having a sick kid is zero fun; hopefully it will be a while before it happens again.
I spoke too soon. That'll teach me. My happy sick child was taken by the body snachers, and today I had this fussy, gassy, irritable pill of a child. Poor thing; I know he doesn't feel well, but now Mommy is a fussy, irritable pill too! Here are some sad, sad pictures for all of you who wonderered if Milo ever cried.
Hydrotherapy. Milo is so happy in the tub. He's going to live in there tomorrow if he acts like he did today. Look at him after his bath! What a sweetie.
Sick? Who me?
Here's healthy Milo a week ago; I have been meaning to share this adorable picture.
