There was a sign by this artwork saying you could touch but gently. I wonder if this is what the artist had in mind?

Memorial Day

We spent Memorial Day at the LACMA enjoying an outdoor concert featuring Daddy on bass. On the same property as the art museum are the tar pits where ice age fossils have been found in the tar. Milo loves this place, he can look and talk about tar for a long time.

L played with some amazing vocalists. One of them gave a great interview on his new podcast which was great. If you haven't checked out the podcasts, I highly recommend.

Sesame Street Friends

 Lyman has a singer acquaintance who works at the zoo and scored us guest passes at the Sesame Street meet and greet breakfast. It was super fun! We arrived an hour and a half before the zoo opened with about 30 other families for a nice continental breakfast and personal time with Grover, Bert and Ernie. It was really nice, but it felt even better as we were leaving the zoo passing the outrageous line of families waiting for their picture. There is NO WAY I would have waited in that line, so I felt particularly grateful then.

 After meeting the the Sesame friends, we stayed and explored the rest of our zoo as always.

Ninja Party

For a friend's birthday, we all went to this indoor trampoline land. It was outrageous. There was loud club-like (from my distant memories) music pumping and a free for all of jumping. Some jumpers were true athletes and did amazing flips. Our kids just jumped until their faces were beet red and their clothes were clinging with sweat. It was super fun to watch. Then we went back to their house for pizza and ninja cupcakes. I think maybe someday I'll go back with Milo and have a jump as well for a good workout!
